From junior to principal. Track where you are, see where you're going.
OUR TEAM
Career paths aren't straight lines. People jump tracks — a DevOps engineer becomes an SRE, an SRE moves to Platform. You keep your seniority and your skills. The track changes, the experience stays.
Jumped from DevOps to SRE at senior level, then back to DevOps as consultant. Kept the SRE skills, gained the breadth.
Starts here. We'll help them figure out the rest.
PROGRESSION
Click any role to see what it takes. Tracks are not silos — you can jump from DevOps to SRE at the same level. Your tools change, your judgment doesn't.
CERTIFICATIONS
Certifications don't make you good at your job. But they prove you sat down and studied the fundamentals. Here's what we track.
SELF-ASSESSMENT
Be honest with yourself. "Competent" means you can do it without Googling every step. "Expert" means other people ask you how.
PHILOSOPHY
A Senior DevOps engineer can move to SRE and stay Senior. The title follows the person, not the track. You spent years learning architecture, incident response, and how to stay calm at 3 AM — that doesn't reset because you changed what you focus on.
We stole this idea from a company we used to work at. They had 10,000 engineers. We have 10. But the career path works the same.
We review career progress quarterly. Not annually when nobody remembers what you did in Q1. Quarterly, with notes, with action items, with follow-through.
Honest caveat: we're a small company. Not every path leads to a promotion here. Sometimes the best thing we do for you is help you outgrow us.
30-minute call. We'll ask about your stack, you'll ask about us. No pitch deck, no pressure.
