Platform Engineer

For Series A fintech, US-based

Build the platform for a Series A fintech moving off ECS to EKS. You will own the cluster, the IaC, and the deployment story for ~20 services. Expect to write Terraform you would actually want to read in a year, and to push back on "just one more sidecar" until the team has SLOs that justify it.

What you will own

  • Design and deliver the EKS cluster, the Helm charts, and the Argo CD pipeline.
  • Replace the ad-hoc IaC with reviewable Terraform modules.
  • Wire Datadog for the four golden signals plus error-rate SLOs.
  • Mentor two backend engineers learning Kubernetes.

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years running production Kubernetes on AWS.
  • Terraform fluency at the module level — not just copy-paste.
  • Comfort writing English asynchronously (Slack, PR review).
